hung parliament

Where is the problem with a hung parliament? Quite a few countries in Europe seem to get along fine with them, only they call them coalitions. Even in our own Scottish parliament we have them. The present Westminster system leads to one party doing what it likes for 5-10 years or more (strong government) only to have it undone by the next lot. Surely some agreement in passing legisation instead of 'pushing it through' would help.

  1. I agree, whats more the argument that a hung Parliament allows a small minority to control events is ridiculous because only 22% of the electorate voted Labour at the last election and this small minority had absolute power. (See Hung parliament)
